D6 consulted with a Multi-National company in implementing a litigation hold process in response to a governmental investigation and multi-defendant litigation. The company had business locations and operations in 12 different countries with an annual Information Technology operating budget of over $1 billion. The process included the identification of over 130 different business applications and the development and implementation of a litigation hold process for each.
D6 directed the preservation, collection, review and production of electronic data for a Fortune 500 company in a class action lawsuit and SEC investigation. The process included identifying and processing over 27 million electronic documents and email, and the forensic imaging of over 250 computer hard drives. D6 managed a team of examiners in the acquisition, preservation and review of electronic data collected from computers belonging to the executives of a large Fortune 500 company. This company was the subject of an SEC investigation and shareholders class action suit centered on the restatement of earnings over a three-year period.
D6 managed a team of examiners in the acquisition and examination of electronic data obtained from company executives in a newly acquired company. Evidence recovered from the examination assisted the fraud investigation, which resulted in a reduction of the acquisition price.
D6 served as the court appointed Special Master in the production of electronic data for discovery purposes for both plaintiff and defendants involved in a civil litigation.
D6 managed an investigation into misallocated funds belonging to a local school district. It was suspected that the cashier at one of the district’s high schools had failed to make deposits in excess of $500,000. This investigation required the examination and reconciliation of numerous accounts. As a result of our work, our client (the school district) reported this incident to local law enforcement officials for criminal prosecution.
